From our humble beginnings in the garage of the former Birdland Hardware store to our 3,200 square foot store in a former art gallery, the Folly has evolved from a small store carrying garden art to a lifestyle style store for resort living.

When we left Chicago for Pentwater we never imagined opening a retail business.  But we saw a niche that wasn't filled and from the beginning, we were dedicated to finding the unique, the affordable and the one-of-a-kind item that makes a statement in a lake side cottage or that works equally well in a city home.

And our customers understood the concept.  We've been challenged to find unique and well-priced merchandise for garden, cottage and home. From the simple to the sublime, we find fabulous artisans and vendors that provide the Folly with an exciting merchandise mix.

We've added clothing, handbags, jewelry and resort wear to our merchandise mix and each season brings something new, fabulous and fun to the Folly.  

We invite you to come up to the lake and enjoy a relaxed, stylish way of living where family and friends gather and sublime sunsets help us find our "Aha" moment. It's at the lake that we're reminded of what's important in our lives.
